Planum arranged and manages capital from an Australian superannuation fund, international insurer, and high net worth investors to support Youth Hostels Australia (YHA) following the impact of COVID-19 and prolonged border closures. 

The funding was structured as a long term loan  secured by YHA’s national real estate portfolio. The loan provides YHA near-term cashflow flexibility, capacity for capital upgrades and growth. Planum’s asset management team is continuing to work closely with YHA on repositioning and value-add opportunities across its portfolio.
