Australian Unity Student Accommodation Portfolio
Australian Unity and MaxCap Group are developing a $1 billion student accommodation portfolio. The seed asset, a 732-bed site located on Wellington Street in Perth, will be constructed by Built and operated by UniLodge. The Perth site is in the CBD, adjacent to ECU’s City campus (under construction) and is due to open prior to Semester 1, 2026.
Planum Partners was financial advisor to Australian Unity, successfully leading the equity raising process to secure funding for the seed asset.
Planum ran an extensive capital raising process involving real estate investors, infrastructure funds, development businesses, and family offices. This allowed the seed asset to be secured and settled within a short timeframe.
