Waste to Energy Project

Planum was engaged by REMONDIS Australia (REMONDIS) to represent its commercial and financial interests in a confidential waste to energy project development.

Planum’s role included:

• Strategic advice on consortium formation including equity partner negotiations
• Bid and financing strategy for the EOI, RFP and BAFO submissions
• Negotiating key project agreements (Development Partner framework, EPC, by-products and power PPAs)
• Working with REMONDIS to optimise its role and risk position in key agreements including O&M and waste supply
• Credit and balance sheet analysis to support REMONDIS with sizing of guarantees and its project funding

The project reached preferred bidder status but was ultimately withdrawn following negotiations with MSW supply counterparties.
