Collgar Refinancing (2024)

Collgar is the largest renewable energy generator in the WA energy market, and is located 25km south east of Merredin. The wind farm is built over a land envelope of 18,000 hectares and has 111 Vestas V90 wind turbines with a total power production capacity of 222 megawatts (MW). Following the refinance in 2018 and debt extension in 2023, Planum was re-engaged by Collgar to refinance its senior debt facilities in 2024.

 Planum's role included:

• Running a competitive process to agree on terms and pricing with lenders
• Structuring a limited review event to deal with PPA expiry in 2027 and risk of no new contract (halfway through the lender legal maturity)
• Pre-agreed mechanics to enable a regearing on obtaining a new offtake
